B.A. Cum Laude, Smith College. J.D. Summa Cum Laude, Western New England University School of Law, where she was the Senior Note Editor of the Law Review.
After graduation, Heidi served a two-year term as an Appellate Court Attorney at the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department. After that, she provided freelance research and writing services to civil litigation attorneys and represented children and indigent parents in care and protection proceedings as a private attorney on the Massachusetts Children and Family Law Trial Panel. Heidi continues to serve as a court investigator for the Massachusetts Juvenile Court. She is a member of the Massachusetts and New York bars.
Outside of research and writing, Heidi dedicates her time to running the wooded trails of Central Massachusetts, weeding her flower gardens, and raising two courageous daughters.
