Colorado Legal Research (CLR) is the Rocky Mountain and Western Division of the National Legal Research Group (NLRG). CLR is devoted to providing legal research, analysis, and writing services to lawyers in Colorado, California, and other West Coast and Rocky Mountain states. We maintain access to hundreds of Westlaw databases not readily available to most attorneys, and we have the immediate support of NLRG’s staff of 35 full-time, specialized attorneys, and its database of 70,000 prior work products.

    Our Rates

We provide a free consultation and cost estimate on every case.  Our standard hourly rate is $160 per hour.  Where our experience permits, we will quote a fixed fee.  In no case will we begin work until you have authorized us to proceed, and we will never exceed our original estimate without your approval. First-time users of our service may request a free hour of legal research, including the use of Westlaw.  This free hour may be used solely as a "get acquainted" project, with no charges incurred, or it may be used as part of a larger project.

    Our Attorneys

When you call on CLR, you’ll be getting the services of a highly qualified and experienced member of the Colorado bar, and the oldest and largest legal research firm in the United States.

Our primary CLR attorney is Lee P. Dunham.  Lee is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and a member of the Colorado Bar and Virginia Bar.  After graduating from law school, she served as a judicial clerk for The Hon. Stephen C. Mahan and The Hon. A. Bonwill Shockley of the Virginia Beach Circuit Court.

Following her clerkship, Lee worked for two years as a Legal Aid trial attorney at Blue Ridge Legal Services in the Shenandoah Valley, where her practice consisted primarily of domestic relations, landlord/tenant, and consumer cases.  Lee practiced bankruptcy and commercial law in Charlottesville, Virginia for four years, first in a solo practice and later with the firm of Royer, Caramanis & McDonough, LLP.  During that time, Lee was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Inn of Court, and presented a well-received CLE on "Bankruptcy Law for Non-Bankruptcy Lawyers" to the Inn.

After moving to Colorado Lee practiced commercial, IP and securities law in Denver.  She is also a frequent volunteer attorney for Boulder County Legal Services, where she primarily handles landlord/tenant matters.

Lee resides in Boulder, Colorado.  In her spare time, Lee is writing a murder mystery set in her home town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, her perpetually ravenous beagle, and her very enthusiastic black lab.
